How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something but to be someone.”

On Resolutions

Let us be honest. No one really keeps their New Years resolutions.

The thing is, it is 2012. The year I never thought would come, and the year where I make choices that will start that crazy chain reaction that we call life. I am one of those people that can’t stand those go-getter people who attempt to convince everyone they really will lose 20 pounds this year. Going to the gym for the first few weeks of January, honestly, will do just about nothing. So I’ve decided not to make new, unreachable resolutions, but to actually follow through on my past ones that never quite worked out.

The action list:

#1 Be less defensive.

#2 Be healthy, and stay healthy. No more yo-yo.

#3 Let go of the past. It happened, now no one cares.

#4 Make decisions confidently, without the direction of others (especially my mother)

#5 Fall in love. Work for it.

#6 Write. Doesn’t matter when or where, just do it. You’ll thank me later.

#7 Take pictures, your memory sucks!

#8 Sleep like a normal person, not Ke$ha.

#9 Exercise, it makes you a happier person.

#10 Surround yourself with true friends, and reach out to those with the potential.

There it is, it had to be in writing. Writing things down makes things real!
